Dylan's Report Card

Dylan got a review at 21 months, I mentioned it the other day... because we had to wake her up from her EEG sleep deprieved slumber to do it. Most questions they asked me, but some we had to try, like will she take a hat off her head (the answer is NO). They put her scores into a computer and it 'grades' them and we get a print out of what she is doing and what the next steps in each catergory are. The lowest, er... youngest... she scored was in language, she's at about 5 months, the highest was Self-help where she's at 12 months. The other categories she's at about 9 months which is what we kind of figured. So for this report card... she passed! Or whatever, ha! It doesn't really matter.

We went to the NICU reunion on Saturday and it was so fun! I completely forgot a camera which totally bites because they had the Life Light helicopter there for the kids to get in and there were some of the people who moved the babies during the big move to the new hospital! They were like "Hey... we moved these guys!" to each other about the babies. It was cute. Duncan wasn't sure what to think about it, he was just soaking it all in. There was also a fire truck but we went on, maybe next year. They had little pony rides for the kids and Duncan got to got for a quick ride in a circle. Oh... and they had a 4 month old camel! He was so cute! That's how you know it was a baby because it was still cute, older camels, not so cute.

We got to see Pat a little but we woke Dylan up to go and she was in NO mood for a happy reunion so we chatted a little, Duncan got some tater-tots and cotton candy and then I shipped dad and the kids home so I could volunteer. I spent the rest of the night doing craft frames with kids and wiping glue off tables. It was so much fun, I would say it was definitely a success this year so kudos to all the NICU people that pulled it off!

Dylan has an appointment with her Ped tomorrow for the all clear to start the ACTH so tomorrow will be her first shot and then we will be on our way. Last night all of the brothers gave her a special blessing and it was so neat. It's just nice to have that many priesthood holders be able to gather around her for a special moment. It really helps me appreciate that we have such a great church in our lives.

Matthew leaves for the UK this week so I am lining up entertainment for me and the kids now. Of course, we have to make sure that everyone is super healthy and that they check all the germs at the door since Dylan will be super prone to getting sick. No boogey noses allowed, we shall see how this goes! For now though out first item of entertainment is a special visit from Pat on Wednesday since she's back in town from Canada for a week or so. Dylan was cranky at the reunion but she really did seem happy to see her. It was pretty cute.

Duncan finally got a cozy coupe! We were so due for one! He loves the one that Kristen has by the pool, he would get a little pre-occupied with it rather than swimming. Well, who knew that those little cars came in a million pieces! I guess they figure that they know you will think it will be worth it in the end? Wow... my mom and I putting it together was good humor I am sure. Imagine us trying to put all the pieces together while Duncan's trying to climb in and out and do his own 'fixing' with the unused screw drivers. I thought we would get it home and he would never us it for it's intended purpose but rather to use tools and 'fix' it but I was wrong. He uses it like a car. In and out, in and out. He loves it!

All the ones when he knew I was taking the picture are blurry, (shocker!) but this one caught him by surprise. There's a drink holder in the back that he makes sure to make full use of.
