Funny things kids say.

This is going to be a bit scattered because it's things I know I need to write down but I am no way in a position where I can actually sit down and blog in complete sentences. (Let's be honest, I struggled with that when I wasn't busy!) So here is a little brain dump!

Greyson is pretty sick right now with a nasty cold so his craziness is a bit in over drive. While we were walking out of the school he did something (loud probably) and said "I'm funny!" He is, and he is starting to realize it! I told him he wasn't funny he was weird and he said "I'm funny weird!"

He is the funniest of all my kids. Last time we were at his annual check up the doctor asked if he was funny and said it's pretty common for the youngest kids to be the funniest. Largely due to them wanting to fit in with all of the other kids. They start to realize that they will fit in if they have the ability to make everyone laugh. Fascinating! And it looks like it might be true for us...

He always says "what the?!" perfectly timed. Like if he sees something he does't recognize or if I almost run into him. It's so funny to hear all of these things coming in his tiny 3 year old (and right now stuffy) voice!

This morning Asher was on the couch so I curled up next to him for a minute. Next comes Ian who can't resist a snuggle... and then Greyson climbs all the way up and says "Wow! There is a lot of KID on this couch!"

Also this morning... Greyson sat next to me and gently touched my head and said "Mom, I love your spiky hair!" It was bed head. Everyone needs that little ego boost first thing in the morning! And it's also helpful that he told me because sometimes I don't catch it and fix it before we leave for school!

Ian also busted out with a cute one today while we were driving to school. He said "Mom, I know why there are flowers in the world." And I asked him why and he said "To make everything pretty!" Yep, he's right, and that's such a very Ian observation since everything in his world is amazing and pretty and perfect to him. Sweetest child ever.

Next year Dylan won't be going to the same school as the big boys, the school they will go to doesn't have the classroom support at the level she requires so she will have to go to a different one. The only kid I was worried about this on is Ian because he adores her so much. I have talked to them about it before but today he said it makes him sad and he wishes that they were going to be at the same school. I knew it... I knew it would bug him. I am not sure how to rectify this, I guess we will see as we get going. He doesn't see her very often at school, I think Duncan sees her more and he is pretty indifferent about the situation!

We just watched an ant farm video and it was 52 days, time lapse, and boring. And I said "I wonder what they do the rest of the time?" and Duncan said "I don't know, maybe play tag?" For real ant life is boooorrrring.

And last funny kid thing... Asher and I were at the mirror in my room and he said "Mom, can you paint my eyes brown?" Heck to the N. O. I love his blue eyes, so yea, too bad buddy even if I could. I think this all comes down to him not wanting to sneeze in the sun? But when you ask him it became "tooting in the sun" and then when I told Matthew on the phone he said it's because he didn't want to "toot so much". Which is hilarious. Apparently if you have blue eyes like daddy to toot more? Yea... let's go with that.

I am going to pick up blogging again soon, really soon, but there are too many thing up in the air right now for me to actually make a commitment. Be warned though, regular posts and pictures are coming again soon!
